Paris 2024 comes to an end! 🏅 🏅 🏅 

The days of the Olympics are always special, don't you think? As a lifelong athlete, the Olympic Spirit provokes such happiness in me that I feel like I'm living on a cloud because of the values it represents, imagining that everything has a solution.

However, this year again,there has been no Olympic Truce (Indutiae Olympicae in Latin, Ekecheiria in Greek) and the war have not stopped during the competition days.

Fortunately, this time I have had the opportunity to experience them in other countries (Poland and Hungary), and it has been curious and exciting to see how, regardless of where I was, wherever there was a Television, it remained on all day broadcasting the Games. Everyone is following the results of their athletes! I hope this pattern has been repeated in other regions of the planet! Having the feeling that all of humanity is doing the same thing at the same time seems beautiful to me - maybe it's the only thing we really do.

There is a popular theory that suggests that football, after its invention, served to avoid conflicts between Europeans. It is a common observation that reflects the competitive nature of sports and its ability to unite people in a spirit of healthy rivalry. In a world so polarized and a society stunned by social media and the bias it provokes, I encourage everyone to maintain the Olympic spirit every day of the year, to enjoy diversity and to help your fellow man.

Los días de Olimpiadas siempre son especiales, ¿no creéis?. Yo, deportista de toda la vida, tengo la sensación de que el espíritu olímpico me embriaga y creo vivir en una nube por los valores que representa, imaginando que todo tiene solución.

Sin embargo, este año, de nuevo, no ha habido paz olimpica (Indutiae Olympicae en latín, Ekecheiria en griego) y las guerras no se han detenido durante los días de competición.

Por fortuna, esta vez he tenido la posibilidad de vivirlas en otros países (Polonia y Hungría), y ha sido curioso y emocionante ver como, independientemente de donde fuera, allá donde había una televisión , ésta permanecía encendida todo el día emitiendo los Juegos. ¡Todos pendientes de los resultados de sus deportistas!. ¡Ojalá este patrón se haya repetido en otras regiones del planeta ! Tener la sensación que toda la humanidad hace lo mismo al mismo tiempo, me parece precioso - quizás sea lo único que hagamos, en realidad.

Existe una teoría popular que sugiere que el fútbol , tras su invención, sirvió para evitar conflictos entre los europeos. Es una observación común que refleja la naturaleza competitiva del deporte y su capacidad para unir a las personas en un espíritu de rivalidad sana. En un mundo tan polarizado y una sociedad aturdida por las redes sociales y el sesgo que provocan, animo a mantener el espíritu olímpico todos los días del año, a disfrutar de la diversidad y a ayudar al compañero.
